Washing Machine Suddenly Stopped Working

Washing machine suddenly stopped working. Check the continuity with a multimeter. Reset the breaker and try to start the washer. Often washing machine malfunctions are.

Unplug the washer from the power outlet or turn the circuit breaker to the unit off. The washing machine may be trying to re-balance the load. Its located under your pressure switch which is located on the front left side of your machineif your lid switch checks good this fuse is a good second place to look-if its blown.

Remove all screws holding the metal plate in place on the back of the washing machine. If neither is at fault you may have a damaged power cord. The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation.

This will increase the cycle time resulting in a longer cycle than normal. Some models may have the heater located in the front part so you will need to remove the front panel. The problem could be with the door interlock.
