Washing machine starts agitating before filling with water. It goes through the cycles fine although sometimes the timer will click quickly 2 or 3 times between cycles and then when it reaches the spin cycle the washer will continue to fill with water until the spin cyle ends. The cycle seems to off. It normally doesnt agitate until full.
Then machine is still doing the same thing - intermittently. After spin cycle is over starts to fill with water then shuts off leaving clothes soaked upon start of new load starts to agitate. I have a whirlpool electric washing machine.
The washer will start to agitate immediately as it is filling with water at the beginning of the cycle. Sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes it starts agitating and filling with water as soon as you push the knob in to start a cycle. Once a washing machine has filled with water one might assume that the unit will then progress to the agitate cycle and begin to wash the items inside the wash basket.

Washer worked fine all day after washing a load of muddy clothes the clothes were still really wet after cycle was complete. If the washing machine stills fails to start after filling turn the machine off and unplug its cord from the wall outlet.
The relay in the switch sticks and allows the washer agitate before it fills. Do you think both timers could be bad. My washer starts agitating before water starts to fill.
