Washing Machine Start Button Broken

Motors tend to hum whir whine and buzz when they start to fail.

Washing machine start button broken. Then while standing in front of the machine push on the top panel towards the back and move the top panel back about two inches and lift it up and off. Also look at the plastic parts around the door lock if they are worn or corroded the signal might not be working. I dont understand why the trousers hook and shirt button broke while washing.
