If one of the spokes in your drum pulley is damaged or broken you will hear a bang with each rotation.
The drum of my washing machine is loose. Now one of the ways in which the washers on the weights can become loose in a machine is by washing with an unbalanced load. The pulley is damaged. The Rear Drum With Bearing.
Tipping the machine while on slow spin did not move it. The vibrations can quickly cause collateral damage so its a problem that needs immediate attention. The weights are attached to the drum and they help to control any excessive movement while the drum is spinning.
Then when spinning it turns to a grinding knocking rattling noise. The trick is to replace them at the first sign of rumbling if you dont then it will break the bearing housing that is called the spider or wear out the bearing housingor go on to slice through the outer drumeither way if that happens it is uneconomical to repair its a scraper. If the tub bearing system is defective the washer can become very noisy.
Remove the drive pulley and inspect it carefully. My examples of this particular fault are on an AEG washer dryer but the same noise could occur on any other AEG washing machine and on most other brands too. After a Heavy Load my Whirlpool Agitronic 65kg washing machine Model- 321032 drum got loose.
Your washing machines pulley is located at the back of the machine if you have a front-loading machine or on the sides if you have a top-loader. If the washer is making a loud noise the drive pulley might be worn out cracked loose or bent. If that doesnt help you may or may not.
Rear Drum with Bearing. Drill a hole on the opposite corner of where the drum seems to bump the side-wall. This one is about when the drum is turning on wash and it makes a strange tapping noise.
