Check the level of the washer.
Samsung washing machine water not stopping. Thanks Jake - I got a reply back from Samsung which directed me to this page - Contrary to the instructions here I have had the drain hose down below 6 in the drain pipe for the entire time I have been using this washer 15 years but it has so far not been an issue. Check that the drum is not over or under-loaded. If the water inlet valve fails the washer will continue waiting for the water to enter the washer causing it to stop mid-cycle.
Refer to the sections in this guide on those components to learn how to test them for problems. If it is clogged the washer will not get enough water to complete the rinse process hence the loop. To determine if the water inlet valve is defective use a multimeter to test it for continuity.
If the washer continues to fill then the water inlet valve is defective. Unplug the washing machines power cord. If the water inlet valve does not have continuity replace it.
Confirm if the water hose mesh filter is not blocked. Usually improper installation or balancing of the washer is to blame. In this case you should unplug the machine shut off the water supply and call for service.
I till trim the hose so it is 6 down the drain pipe and give the inlet filters another check and clean the bottom on. To verify that the valve is at fault unplug the washer when the symptom occurs. If your washer continues to fill during a cycle the water inlet valve could be at fault.
If the washer isnt level it may not drain correctly. Turn off the washer and check the level. Open the door and redistribute the washing more evenly around the drum.
