Where possible use detergents specifically designed for this type of material and avoid using other types of detergent. Make sure you place it in without crumpling it up as the machine spins you dont want it to become tangled up.

If your machine has the option include an extra rinse and spin cycle. Remove and Check for Soap Residue. Washing will not ruin your goose down comforter but only if done right.
