Yes you can wash your bedding with an approved wool washing detergent on the wool wash cycle in your washing machine.
Can quilt be washed in washing machine. Quilts are very delicate and washing them frequently may damage the fabrics. Disturb the quilt gently for 10 minutes then drain the tub of its soapy contents. But we DO have an answer for you.
I would add extra rinses. It is usually acceptable to wash your quilt in your washing machine at home however if your quilt is extra-large you might need to use a commercial washing machine. However if the quilting lines are very far apart or the piecing seams appear inconsistent the quilt may not withstand even the gentle cycle.
For newer quilts made with quality fabric wash in the washing machine with cold water on the gentle cycle with a low sudsing mild detergent like Dreft or Woolite. Me and my friend who ended up buying the same machine were shoving those towels in there and could not believe it. Line dry or tumble dry on low if the quilt is well-made.
Do not add any other clothes while washing a quilt in the machine. And as a washing machine is in the business of taking dry clothes and making them wet this measurement can indeed be a bit confusing. I did a demo when I bought the Bosch and they had 17 towels stitched together at the store.
